Part One : Cerberus Rising
Genre: action/adventure/sci-fi/fantasy
The end of Time has finally dawned on the horizon and the many ages of mankind’s history is drawing to a close.
And it comes with the rise of the final dark menace. Rumors are spreading across the systems about an enemy, still mostly hidden, but steadily approaching. The vigilant warriors sense that this threat is markedly different than all others before them. Planets are failing, economies are collapsing, system civil wars are breaking, and stars are dying. It's as if the galaxy and all things in it are succumbing to a fatal disease. In the farthest corner of the universe, an impenetrable veil can be seen and it cannot be turned back.
Evil’s time to rule has come at the end of all days and it has sent forth Its finest army, headed by three Overseers. None can withstand them, except for the Almighty.
As is typical of the human race, only a few are aware early of this lethal threat. The others refuse to accept it and go so far as to chastise and exile any who even mention the idea of Evil, angels, and demons.
Caught in the middle is a group of unique individuals called “omicrons.” The cover story says they’re genetically engineered, a lie that’s readily accepted because it comfortably explains their supernatural powers. But the truth is much deeper and implies a reality that many refuse to consider. It’s these individuals, resented and feared by their fellow humans, who will be thrust to the forefront of the final war.
In the midst of this are a brother and sister, abandoned at an early age. Now young adults, they’re faced with this rising galactic threat and the truth about their own history. Not only this, but they must face changes to themselves that they cannot stop and are unable to understand. But these must somehow be accepted to prepare for the darkness that’s growing –even if it means becoming the very thing they resent.
It's in this time in history that the veil between the seen and unseen beings to tear. The realm of angels and demons draws nearer, and slowly begins to meld with visible dimension.
The heavens and the many created realms are beginning to shake, and Time’s hourglass is about to break.
Author's Note
The writing style and language differs slightly between Part One and Part Two. Part One is focused on character and plot development. In Part Two, our main characters are maturer and their skills and gifts increase through missions, not structured training. I might also add that Part Two includes a massive measure of epic-ness and otherworldly feats (if I can write that about my own story without being considered self-conceited). Thus, the writing style would change and mature with the plot and characters.

Maps
*Maps of the charted systems are drawn at the beginning of their respective yearly revolutions
*Ushani, Evora, and Cassiar Systems make up the "Core Systems" or "Core Planets"
*The Ashkelon and Fiera Systems are known as the "Guardian Systems" because of their flanking positions to the Core Systems and military ability to provide aid
*Merchant Planets: the meteor-like planets have weak but protected atmospheres. Each is mined or harvested for various materials such as minerals, steel, and food stuffs, which are then processed and sold on the three real planets
*Hyder System is also referred to as "the Dead Planets." In the previous galactic war, enemy forces had established bases on the planets in that system. During that time, the planets ceased to revolve almost entirely, both on their axis's and around any central object like a star or black hole. The Gateway Cluster was established so that security forces could keep an eye on the Dead Planets in the event another dark enemy began stirring
*Gateway Cluster: the three planets that make up this cluster were originally part of the Hyder System. Following the war, they were towed to their new locations, cored out, and became monitoring and security stations

"The one who wastes his time is the one, at the end, regrets for tarrying all his given days. The one who lived wisely and was a good steward of his time has no regret and walks gratefully into the long-awaited rest made for him. While one ought not worry about tomorrow, it is the fool who says in his heart, 'I have plenty of time. I can wait on my duties, I can play and delay a little longer, for my life and time is my own.' Oh what a surprise it will be for those who live as such, for those who live to see the breaking of the hourglass at last and the collapse of the very pillars of Time." --Confidential
